Day 3. 04 NOVEMBER MONDAY / BANGKOK
Arrival in Bangkok and welcome with our Spanish speaking guide. During the last two hundred years, Bangkok has grown to become the political, social and economic center not only of Thailand, but of Indochina and Southeast Asia. Its influence on art, politics, fashion, education and entertainment, as well as in business, has given Bangkok the status of a global city. Transfer to selected hotel and rest of the day free to visit one of the oldest cities in Southeast Asia and accommodation.
Day 4. 05 NOVEMBER TUESDAY / BANGKOK (breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start early in the bustling and busy Bangkok to visit the most significant and impressive temples of the capital: Wat Traimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha and which houses a Buddha image of 5 tons of solid gold laden with history, It remained hidden for centuries after being discovered in plaster to prevent its destruction during the war, our next stop will be the temple of Wat Po, with its Reclining Buddha, we will also visit a gemstone factory. We will also visit the Great Royal Palace that served as the official residence of the King of Thailand from the 18th century until the middle of the 20th century. It is located east of the Chao Phraya River and is undoubtedly one of the biggest tourist attractions of this city as it is a large complex full of colors where the golden stands out above all others. Day 5. 06 NOVEMBER WEDNESDAY / BANGKOK, CHIANG MAI (breakfast)
Breakfast and transfer to the airport to take flight (included) to CHIANG MAI. Arrival at Chiang Mai airport and assistance from our Spanish speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. This city is the main city of northern Thailand and is known by locals as “the rose of the north” due to its beauty.
Day 6. 07 NOVEMBER THURSDAY / CHIANG MAI (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Breakfast. Then departure to visit the famous Temple of Doi Suthep or temple of the mountain, located in this beautiful enclave of the same name, from there to appreciate the city of Chiang Mai in all its splendor. After the visit to the Doi Suthep, it is time to enjoy a Lunch included in a local restaurant. Transfer back to the hotel. In the afternoon / evening, transfer to a traditional restaurant where the welcome dinner will be held, a Khantoke dinner consisting of a tasting of the most traditional dishes of the north attending a performance of dances typical of the tribes. Day 7. 08 NOVEMBER FRIDAY / CHIANG MAI, CHIANG RAI (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Breakfast and transfer to the elephant camp, located in the middle of the jungle, to see how agile these great creatures are to carry out the work of the field. After this small exhibition we will begin our safari on elephant backs, crossing rivers and the thick vegetation of the jungle until we reach an enclave where tribes of different ethnic groups of the country coexist, among which the eye-catching original Giraffe Women (Long Neck) stands out. Day 8. 09 NOVEMBER SATURDAY / CHIANG RAI (breakfast, lunch)
Breakfast. Departure to the famous “Triangulo del Oro”, visiting on the way the village of the “Akha” with their colorful costumes with their characteristic way of life tea plantations of the surroundings. Lunch included in local restaurant. From there we will go to the province of Chiang Saen whose capital of the same name was one of the most populated cities of the former Kingdom of Lanna and visit one of its important temples. We arrived at the “TRIANGLE OF GOLD” so called because they were on the same point the border between Thailand, Burma and Laos, bordered by the three by the Mekong River, of great scenic beauty and famous for the opium trade. Day 9. 10 NOVEMBER SUNDAY / CHIAN RAI, ISUKHOTAI, PHITSANULOK (breakfast, lunch)
Breakfast. En route we will visit Wat Rong Khun, known as the White Temple, totally different to any other temple in Thailand for having its “ubosot” (sacred meeting room) designed in white color where white crystal has been used among other materials. Departure in the morning towards the heart of the country passing through the Phayao Lake and entering the suggestive landscape of the Thai central plain that will reveal the ancient cities of the Kingdom of Siam. Arrival at SUKHOTAI whose archaeological center is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, for its incredible beauty and sample of the several centuries of prosperity of the Thai civilization, raising monumental cities and sophisticated temples. After this star visit to Sukhotai. Lunch included in a local restaurant and continuation to PHITSANULOK,
Day 10. 11 NOVEMBER MONDAY / PHITSANULOK, AYUTHAYA, BANGKOK (breakfast, lunch)
Early in the morning and for those who wish, we will go to the vicinity of the hotel to make an offering to the monks and live closely one of the most emblematic aspects of Thai culture. After this fun activity, we will continue this journey to the archaeological center par excellence of the country, AYUTTHAYA, ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam. We will visit its archaeological complex of great historical interest; Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO where the ruins of the temples erected when the city held the title of capital of the kingdom stand out.
